Cover-to-Cover Survey of the Bible
What makes Village School classes special? At Village Schools of the Bible, our feature study is a cover-to-cover survey of the entire Bible in 36 lessons.
The Village Schools' educational philosophy, with its emphasis on personal study, is revolutionary in concept but fruitful in result. Surely, a new-born Christian's spiritual birthright is an adequate introduction to the entire Bible, which alone can bring him to maturity and equip him for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16). And this is for effective service in the local Church and in all the world.
As individuals pursue this intensive study, their knowledge of God grows as does their appreciation of themselves and their unique gifts. With the Schools' constant emphasis on the local church, each student serves his own church with the personal training and the spiritual commitment needed to be a true servant of the Lord Jesus.
It is every Christian's RESPONSIBILITY and PRIVILEGE to get into THE BOOK
How well we remember learning the verse in Sunday School, "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." (2 Tim. 3:16)
Here we have both God's expectation that every Christian should be fully equipped for His service and God's provision for that equipping: His precious Word. It is obvious, therefore, that a thorough knowledge of the Bible is both a Christian's birth-right and his primary responsibility. And this knowledge must encompass the entire Bible so that he will be able to teach others also. What a challenging prospect!
Are you hungry for God's Word?
"Your Words came and I ate them, and your Word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of my heart" (Jeremiah 15:16). Good common sense tells us that our soul needs daily food just as much as our bodies.
We invite YOU to benefit from our unique, Bible study course...the entire Bible in 36 lessons of lectures, reading, writing and learning! The teaching is stimulating, highly motivational, and the focus is on you, the student. It's a tough course, but incredibly effective. Classes are available live or by correspondence.
The Village Schools of the Bible survey course is a VERY RADICAL BIBLE STUDY METHOD...not for WIMPS but for THINKING PEOPLE really hungry to know and share the Lord!
This course provides you an opportunity to get to know the Lord in a systematic, accountable study of the Bible, with weekly lectures, with an opportunity of sharing your thoughts, with possibilities unlimited as God does a wonderful work in your life for His service! Personal Study & Commitment--A Must!
At Village Schools, our focus is on you, the student. We want to help you in your systematic study of the Scriptures. Learning is more than listening to lectures and taking notes. It requires personal study. As Monty, Village School's founder, has said: "What I dig out is mine and I can show it to you, neatly outlined, but it is essentially mine. What you dig out is yours, forever, to be shared but as your possession." Our goal is to encourage you to grow, to be familiar with all the Bible, to become equipped to serve the Lord in knowing His Word and thus His Will for your life!
To do this, you will have to put in some conscientious study. We expect you to set aside at least 6 hours per week for this study. Some students may want to give more and will be able to. We expect all our students to give at least that much time.

The Village School System of Bible Training Emphasizes:
Student's research: Learning is more than listening to lectures and taking notes. It requires personal study. "What I dig out is mine and I can show it to you, neatly outlined, but it is essentially mine. What you dig out is yours, forever, to be shared but as your possession." Brilliant teaching and excellent organization alone will not produce true students of Scripture. Only personal study will do that. True education is motivation, as much as information, and it is our goal to encourage the student to grow.
Continual evaluation: Too often, traditional Bible teaching methods are weak in thoroughly testing comprehension, sometimes assuming students fully understand concepts. Systematic evaluation is necessary to confirm accurate understanding and to correct error. It also is an encouraging spur to enthusiastic study.
Responsibility in fulfilling the Great Commission: Matthew 28:19 and 20, verses which surely apply personally to every Christian. Every Christian is personally responsible to "make disciples..." to teach them all Christ taught. This great command is not for a select few, it is for every Christian. Every Christian should be able, in the discharge of his special gifts, to effectively share his faith. This will help him joyously to grow and the whole world to know that Jesus is alive, longing and able to save.
If YOU have a deep longing to study and understand the Bible, YOU ARE THE SPECIAL PERSON for whom this SPECIAL SCHOOL exists!
