Mideast and Israel
The Jerusalem Post - Provides a Jewish perspective on the news.

Arabic News - The second of two newspapers printed in the region that I read.

Jewish Virtual Library - Recently I have been privileged to conduct several classes where our focus was the history of the conflict occurring in the Middle East. Perhaps the most helpful web site to me, in terms of providing important resource documents, was that of the Jewish Virtual Library. If you want to read the text of the various United Nations resolutions impacting the region today, this is the place to go.

Israel Defense Forces - Background information for the various wars between Israel and her neighbors can be found at the website of the Israel Defense Forces.

ddolan.com - David Dolan is a Christian reporter who has been living in Israel since 1980 and for many years broadcast radio reports for CBS Radio. David's analysis of contemporary events in the Middle East is clear, concise, and thought-provoking. At the website, you can subscribe to his Israel Update newsletter.

The Temple Institute - This site has some very interesting features about the coming third temple and the organizing of the priests for the reinstitution of the sacrificial systems. I check the website of the Temple Institute, located in the Old City of Jerusalem to stay informed about what is happening in and around the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

The Biblical Archaeology Society - Provides articles that appear every two months about the significant archaeological discoveries in the Holy Land.

The Bible Lands Museum-Jerusalem - Has some great sources of information.

The Jerusalem Archeological Park - Is a site I think many Village School students will appreciate, especially as they prepare for New Testament classes. It is a great website for those who are interested in learning more about the Temple during the time of Jesus and also has some great pages on the history of Jerusalem, including several interactive maps. The main feature is a virtual tour of the Herodian temple mount.

Prophecy
Prophecy Today - Is a web site with the stated mission of "examining current events in light of God's prophetic Word." This is a wonderful resource with many valuable links.

www.olivetreeviews.org - This is the web site for Jan Markel and Olive Tree Ministries. It is an excellent site for the latest information on issues and thier relationship to prophecy.

Christianity, News, Ethics, Miscellaneous
Christianity Today - From this website, a person can link to sites dealing with issues ranging from parenting and family to church history and preaching and includes articles and other news that will bring encouragement to the reader.

From the Word Ministries - Michael Ginn has conducted a Scripture memory workshop at one of Village Schools' Saturday schools. He has memorized the entire New Testament and quotes it from memory twice a week. He is currently memorizing several Old Testament books. Michael has been instrumental in prompting many of our students to hide God's Word in their hearts.

The Center for Bioethics and Human Dignity - One of the strongly debated topics today focuses on the issue of bioethics. The new technologies are forcing Christians to ask difficult questions and to search for honest answers built upon a biblical foundation. This site has been created to help Christians better understand this important new realm.

GodismyCEO.com We spent some time in Village Schools' Millennium Ethics Course probing the ethics of business. Village School graduate, Larry Julian, is the author of 'God is My CEO', which describes authentic, biblical servant-leadership in the marketplace.

www.wsj.com - This is the web site for the Wall Street Journal, one of the best unbiased news sources in America today. I read it often for its editorials.
